Ooty

Let's talk about Ooty now. Ooty and Kodaikanal can be confusing because they are so similar, and it's easy to mix up where you saw what. However, I've had a different experience every time I've visited these places.

The first photo is from one of the tourist attractions in Ooty run by a private organization. I don't remember the exact name, but there's a tunnel you can walk through that continuously revolves, giving you the sensation of losing gravity. The private organizations in Ooty also offer engaging activities such as cycling inside a wheel. I was doing it and couldn't take a photo, but it's definitely worth experiencing. They also have 3D, 4D, and 5D cinematic experiences (they call them that, haha).

The second photo is of the Pykara falls in Ooty. It's a bit of a walk to get there, but the view is worth it. The falls have a pleasant and meditative view that is truly special.

The third photo features an elephant, which we nicknamed the Safari King. We went on a safari trip in the Mudumalai forest where we were scared of encountering wild animals, especially the bison, which had killed many families and even destroyed cars, especially those of tourists. Despite the fear, the safari trip was a thrilling and unforgettable experience.

Oh hi there miss

Some water dam it’s locked so who cares

The fourth photo is from a botanical garden, and it's my third time visiting the same garden in Spain. There's something special about this place, and you can click amazing pictures every time you visit. Ooty is my favorite place to take pictures of the glass house in the botanical garden.

That is our famous Veerappan (he is bad guy, we like bad guys tho xD)

Kalam Ji, there hasn't been a better president and human who cared for India after you :( 2020 was a tough year, and we're grateful that you weren't a part of it.

Another must-visit place is the tea factory where they harvest from the tea plantations and give fresh tea that tastes amazing. They claim that it can even reduce weight.

The final photo is of the place where we stayed, and one day, a bison appeared outside the gate. Thankfully, we were inside the room and looking out, so we were safe.

Heyy ducky ducky

In this photo, we are rowing our own boat in a lake. There were also paddle boats available, as you can see people pedaling in front of us. We decided to chase them, which was a fun experience.

The second-to-last photo is of another pine forest. What's special about this pine forest is that there were wooden logs from old trees at the end of it. We found peace by sitting on them, and the temperature kept dropping every minute. It was a bit scary due to the chilling wind, but it was also calming in a way.

The final photo is of Doddabetta, the highest point in Ooty. It has the coldest temperature and can get quite scary at night due to the dense fog. However, it provides a telescopic view of the entire mountain and surrounding hills, which is truly breathtaking.

You may have noticed that I've pasted the same picture twice, but they were taken 7 years apart. The top one is the latest, and the bottom one is the older version. You can see that the camera quality has improved, and the wheels of the vehicle are shining in the older picture, but they appear rusted in the newer one. This is a clear indication that even highly maintained botanical gardens are affected by environmental changes over time.

Enough of OOTY tours. Bye Bye :)

I have to visit Ooty again as I missed out on taking the Hill Train from the bottom to the top. Additionally, I want to check out Black Thunder and see what sets it apart from our usual Wonderla and other amusement parks.
