Agra - Taj Mahal

Everyone knows the love story behind the Taj Mahal, except for its namesake, Mumtaz (Arjumand Banu Begum). This grand structure is also known as the Mumtaz Mahal, and Mumtaz was the third and most favored wife of Shajahan.

The photo below shows the Red Fort, also known as the entrance to the Taj Mahal. It features a mini-museum that's worth checking out. The photos below were taken during my second visit to the Taj Mahal. The first time, I couldn't get any proper photos because they were all printable images back then.

There's a belief that the Taj Mahal was built on top of a Shiva Temple, which would have made me very upset. However, I don't want to get into the history of it. Let's focus on the architectural beauty of the Taj Mahal; it's truly spectacular. However, I do find it a bit gloomy and cold.

During my first visit to the Taj Mahal, it was incredibly calm, but during my second visit, I started to notice various environmental patterns. Let's step inside the Taj Mahal, but be warned that the pictures may seem a bit gloomy. You'll see crowds of people howling the names of the late king and queen. The Taj Mahal was built to hold the tombs of Mumtaz and Shahjahan, who was also cremated in the same place. You'll hear people crying out the names of Shahjahan and Mumtaz everywhere, even though it's been more than 500 years since their passing. I'm not sure why they keep weeping out loud.

The best part of the Taj Mahal's beauty is when the temperature outside is hot, and the inside is incredibly cool. The design is so creative that it creates a comfortable and refreshing atmosphere inside the tomb.

The outside of the Taj Mahal features Arabic letters in an arch-like formation. The stones and flowers you see are not painted, but rather true and original precious stones. When you shine a beam of light on them, the light passes through and creates a solid passage. This shows that the materials are genuine and incredibly valuable.

And there is a guy over there rowing a boat in yamuna in this cold foggy temperature

Look how beautiful <3

There was once a plan to build another Taj Mahal for Shahjahan's tomb on the other side of the Yamuna River, which would have created a pair of Mahals. This second Mahal was meant to be black in color. However, Shahjahan's son, Aurangzeb, put him behind bars, and the dream of building this second Mahal was shattered.

It is a must visit wedding photo shoot area :)
